The safety of the employees of the cantonal administration and the courts is very important to us.

Topics

We oversee and implement operational security measures in the cantonal administration and the courts on behalf of the Government Council of the Canton of Zug.

Our tasks and responsibilities include:

  • Implementing and developing the operational security concept
  • Planning and conducting security audits, emergency and evacuation drills, and customized on-site security training
  • Planning and conducting the mandatory basic safety course
  • Carrying out risk assessments for new construction projects and renovation projects
  • Advising, coaching and training employees in case of incident reports

Basic safety course

The basic safety course is compulsory for employees of the cantonal administration and the courts (except for the employees of the Zug police, rescue service and civil defense).

 

 

Course content

Response in the event of a ‘cardiac arrest’

  • Sequence of basic resuscitation measures

  • Using a defibrillator

Managing stress

  • Reflecting on and recognizing stressors and resources ‘What stresses me out, what makes me stronger?’

  • Learning coping strategies

Responding to difficult customer contacts/situations

  • Premeditated responses before a planned conversation, response in a difficult situation

  • Contacts case of doubts and/or incidents
