The clarification service is mainly responsible for:
- Clarification of facts and compiling reports with recommendations for the attention of the KESB
- Hearings for children
- Determining maintenance contributions and drafting maintenance agreements for mutually agreed applications signed by parents
- Clarification mandates in cases where the child has no relationship with both parents (acknowledgments of paternity)
- Monitoring delegated foster families and assessment of applications for a foster placement permit
