Municipal Supervision

The Government Council is the supervisory authority for municipalities. The Department of the Interior exercises supervision unless this responsibility lies with another department.

The Department Secretariat handles municipal supervision within the Department of the Interior. The Department Secretariat of the Department of Finance maintains financial oversight of the municipalities.
