School Supervision Department

The School Supervision Department monitors whether municipal and private schools in Zug comply with the cantonal requirements and legal provisions. The Department ensures that schools in the canton maintain consistent quality and advises school management on matters of school legislation. It handles applications for temporary or permanent teaching authorizations and verifies the teaching qualifications of teaching staff. The School Supervision Department instructs and supports the operational process for setting up private schools or applying for private schooling. The Department also manages the transition procedure between primary level and secondary level I. The School Supervision Department is the contact point for enrolment issues and admissions of students from outside the canton or from abroad to Zug schools, and it informs companies and individuals about the education system in Zug.
