About us
A dual-track apprenticeship is the most popular form of training in Switzerland after completing compulsory schooling. About two thirds of all school leavers opt for this form of training. Thanks to high practical relevance and good training provided at vocational schools, learners gain employability skills. No dead-end qualifications – that is the mantra of today's vocational education and training.
We are the interface to the State Secretariat for Education, Research and Innovation and maintain cooperation with other cantons and organizations in the world of work.
We advise companies that are willing to offer apprenticeships and issue training approvals. We also advise apprentices and their parents on questions during the apprenticeship period. Lastly, we also organize final examinations and issue the Swiss Certificate of Competence or the Federal Vocational Certificate.
