The Central Services and the Auditor's Office are mainly responsible for the following:
- Centralized call handling for the Office for Child and Adult Protection
- Transferring calls to appropriate departments or individuals and providing the requested information
- Recording incoming threat reports and forwarding them to the board of the KESB
- Drafting, editing and sending out all KESB decisions
- Handling client administration and the relevant tasks for business oversight (deadlines, outstanding issues, etc.).
- Receiving, assisting with, and directing public communications to appropriate departments
- Managing the KES accounting system
- Reviewing inventory, reports and accounts for guardianships and custodianships
