School Psychological Service
The School Psychology Service (SPD) is a cantonal school service. We provide guidance, assistance and information to teachers and specialists, parents, specialized agencies and school authorities.

About us
The School Psychological Service supports children and young people enrolled in compulsory education and secondary level II. Our services are free.
What do we do?
- Offering short and long term guidance and support for students, learners, teachers, specialists, parents or guardians and principals.
- Conducting assessments
- Engaging in discussions with those involved
- School visits to classes
- Conducting continuing education programs, workshops and presentations on various topics
Who are we?
We are a counseling center for students enrolled in compulsory education (compulsory kindergarten and 1st-9th grade), and for learners in vocational and general education schools.
What is our goal?
Our goal is to address questions and concerns together with those involved. We also play a role in decision-making.
How are we organized?
Each school psychologist is assigned to advise one or more municipalities. One expert is assigned for counseling at secondary level II. The speech therapy expert assists the school psychologists with speech therapy issues. Look for the contact person assigned to you here «Responsibilities».
