About us
Need round-the-clock administrative services? Want to submit applications and requests online? Receive certificates digitally? Simplified procedures, transparent operations, service-oriented approach, digitally competent: This is the future of Zug's administration and the people who interact with it daily.
To consistently drive digital transformation of the cantonal administration, the Governing Council adopted a digital strategy in 2020. To realize this strategy, the ‘incentive' program was launched in conjunction with the Digital Zug Competence Center. We coordinate processes across departments and offer a centralized platform for innovation, collaboration and skill development through our website.
Our amazing team includes Martina Kessler, Laura Clauderotti, Angela Fioroni, Eveline Wüst, Anna Hart and Martin Niederberger.
But Digital Zug involves many more people
Digital Zug is also a community leading the digital transformation of the canton. Beyond the cantonal offices, other offices and organizational units such as the judiciary and the data protection office are also participating in the digital transformation. The Digital Zug steering committee oversees implementation by the competence center and is involved in key decisions.
We collaborate with the federal government, cantons and municipalities on matters related to legislation, defining standards and providing basic services. We also invite you, the companies and the people of Zug, to share your requirements, ideas, and to test new applications.
Our goals and projects
Digitalization in Zug is not solely about new tools and technology, it requires courage to embrace new structures and skills, and a cultural change. This is an opportunity! That's why people and cultural transformation towards a learning organization are at the heart of all our projects. The canton of Zug is creating the necessary environment for this by investing in the digital skills of its employees and cultivating a results-oriented management culture. This also means that our employees work independently and have access to and utilize personal development opportunities.
Numerous online tools and services are already simplifying our lives. The digital transformation in the canton of Zug is building upon the existing foundation laid by various directorates and offices.
- For example, the development of ZUGLOGIN: Using the canton of Zug's electronic identity (E-ID), users can access their personal data, administrative processes, and documents online at any time.
The digital transformation of Zug's administration is based on applications like these. Further developments are underway, such as:
- the electronic signature, which makes internal signature processes paperless and enables digital archiving of documents.
- continuously optimizing the experience for people who use our online services.
Our goal is to develop solutions that not only simplify daily life, but also increase transparency in processes, decision-making channels, and accountability for the public and our employees.
We look forward to hearing from you.
