Criminal Court
The Criminal Court is the court of first instance in the canton for criminal matters. In addition to their criminal court duties, the judges also handle cases in the juvenile court (as defined by article 7 of the Juvenile Criminal Procedure Code (JStPO)) and the compulsory measures court.
About us
As a collegial court consisting of three members, the Criminal Court handles all criminal cases as the court of first instance that are not assigned to another court. The four judges of the Criminal Court also act as single judges, imposing sentences of up to two years' and serving as a compulsory measures court.
