About the Head Clerk of the State Chancellery
The Head Clerk of the State Chancellery attends the meetings of the Office of the Cantonal Council in an advisory capacity. He has the right to propose motions. Together with the President of the Cantonal Council, he signs all public acts of the Cantonal Council.
He also attends meetings of the Government Council in an advisory capacity. He takes the minutes and signs the decrees and announcements of the Cantonal Council together with the chairman of the Cantonal Executive Council.
He chairs the General Secretaries' Conference and performs various coordination tasks for the canton - for example with the federal government and the Federal Chancellery, the Swiss Conference of State Secretaries, the Central Switzerland Government Conference and the Zug municipalities.
The Deputy Head Clerk of the State Chancellery supports the Head Clerk of the State Chancellery.
