K-B-A | S-B-A Admission procedure

The K-B-A (combined bridging program) and S-B-A (school bridging program) enables youngsters and young adults to expand their skills necessary for successful entry into the workforce or an general education school.

Phase I:

Start of the Admission Process 2026–27 for K-B-A and S-B-A
 

Online Registration

 

Please prepare the following documents in electronic form; they must be uploaded at the end of the registration process! Please also refer to the registration instructions (German version).

 

  • Selfie (Smartphone photos allowed)
  • One PDF file with school reports:
    • 1st and 2nd year of secondary school (both semesters)
    • 3rd year of secondary school (first semester)
  • Personal details sheet from the report card (sample)
  • One PDF file with all trial internship reports
  • One PDF file with Stellwerk test results (and Multicheck if available)
  • For non-Swiss citizens: Residence permit (passport is not valid! – sample)
  • Signed PDF file: Teacher’s assessment (form)
  • “My Video” (prepared, max. 20 MB, formats: .mov / .mp4)

Problems with compression (max. 20 MB):

We are happy to help you prepare your video in the correct format.
You can still submit the online application! During the online application process, you can schedule an appointment for support.

Appointments for MyVideo compression support:

  • Wednesday, 18 March 2026: 1:30–3:30 p.m.
  • Monday, 23 March 2026: 4:00–6:00 p.m.
  • Tuesday, 24 March 2026: 4:00–6:00 p.m.
  • Wednesday, 25 March 2026: 1:30–4:00 p.m.
  • Wednesday, 1 April 2026: 1:30–2:30 p.m. (final appointment)

The regular deadline for submitting the application via online registration: Wednesday, March 25, 2026

The regular submission deadline for applications to the Bridging Programs (academic year 2026–27) has passed.

 

  April 2026

The admission applications for K-B-A / S-B-A are currently being processed.
You will hear from us after the spring break and receive an invitation to the onboarding interview.

You can still submit your application.
However, you will be asked to provide a short explanation of why you were unable to meet the deadline.

Please note:

  • Processing your application will take a little longer.
  • Admission to the Bridging Programs is only possible if there are still places available.
  • As soon as your application is complete, we will contact you as soon as possible.

Issues with Compression:
We help you get your “MyVideo” into the correct format. To do this, please schedule an appointment by email at register.aba@zg.ch.
Once the appointment is scheduled, you can submit the registration even without the video.
During the online registration, you will be asked to confirm the scheduled appointment.

     

Phase II:

Spring holidays until June

May – June 2026 Once your admission is confirmed, we will work together with you and your parents or guardians to choose the program that best fits your needs (S-B-A or K-B-A).
This ensures that you have the right support and a clear path toward a sustainable future.
The process is completed when the learning agreement is signed.

the cantonal summer school holidays.

From 29 June to 31 July 2026, you can submit your complete application through the online registration.

 

Please note:
➡️ Applications submitted during this time will only be reviewed from 3 August 2026 onwards. You will hear from us soon after.
➡️ Admission to the Bridging Programs is only possible if there are still places available.

 

🎥 MyVideo – Compression issues

If you are unable to compress your video, please contact us by email at register.aba@zg.ch.
In this case, direct online registration is not possible.
➡️ You will receive a response to your request from 3 August 2026.

     

Phase III:

Program Start

Our K-B-A and S-B-A programs begin at the same time as apprenticeships, during the 5th week of the cantonal school holidays (Canton Zug).
This ensures a smooth transition and alignment with the start of vocational training.
