The Department for Bridging Programs is responsible for the management, coordination, quality assurance and further development of the cantonal bridging programs with the profiles S-B-A, K-B-A
and I-B-A.

Profiles

Bridging program profiles

The bridging programs in Canton Zug with the profiles S-B-A, K-B-A and I-B-A enable young people and adults to expand the skills necessary for a sustainable entry into the world of work or a general education school.
During one to two years - depending on the focus - the three programs offer individual solutions to increase language skills (I-B-A), general academic and interdisciplinary skills (S-B-A) or practical work experience in companies (K-B-A). This is always done in combina-tion with targeted support and guidance in the career orientation process.

School bridging program (S-B-A)

  • Full-time school with personalized learning programs
  • Supplementary programs to promote interdisciplinary skills
  • Coaching for education and career planning proces

Combined bridging program (K-B-A)

  • Personalized school education in combination with work in an
    internship company (3 days internship / 2 days school per week)
  • Coaching for education and career planning process and during the internship

Integration bridging program (l-B-A and l-B-A-20+)

  • Full-time school with individualised learning program
  • Coaching for the learning and career development process
  • Promotion of labor market skills

Requirements

Requirements for attending a bridging program

The basic services of the bridging programs are free of charge for learners who are legally resident in Canton Zug. Learners residing in another canton can be accepted, provided they pay the contribution in accordance with the vocational school agreement (BFSV) see pricelist
    
K-B A | S-B-A  the prerequisite for entry into the S-B A or K-B-A is
- the completion of obligatory schooling
- willingness to perform
- German language competence at B1 level ESP

 

I-B-A | I-B-A-20+ is for young people and adults with deficits in the German language, on their way to training and career selection.

BYOD Bring your own Device

The bridging programs (I-B-A, I-B-A 20+, K-B-A, S-B-A) belong to the secondary level II. As non-compulsory schools, we do not provide computers. The students are responsible for purchasing a device and maintaining it.
