What the I-B-A offers

Who is the I-B-A | I-B-A-20+ for?
The I-B-A | I-B-A-20+ is for young people and adults with deficits in the German language on their way to training and career choice. The goal is to find a suitable follow-up solution.
I-B-A
Young people who speak a foreign language are accepted after compulsory schooling until they reach the age of 20.
I-B-A-20+
The program is aimed at adult migrants (after the age of 20) who have completed German language level B1 and are looking to enter the Swiss Professional world.
Requirements
- Taking responsibility for one’s own learning process
- Motivated to attend the program (IBA) 5 days a week or (I-B-A20+) 3 days a week
- Open to improving German language skills
- Openness in the career selection process
- Eager to explore and experience Swiss culture and living environment
- Residence permits B, B-EU, C, C-EU, F, S
- For I-B-A20+: Completed German language proficiency at B1 level
- BYOD (Bring Your Own Device)

Costs I-B-A
Personal contribution for teaching materials, consumables, photocopies, TELC test fee (language test), excursions, camps and project weeks:

*The amount of CHF 200.00 per semester includes books and consumables that all students need. **The fee for the 2nd semester includes the camp which takes place in spring. |
Costs of I-B-A-20+
The I-B-A-20+ is subsidized by the canton. Participants bear part of the costs themselves.
The personal contribution to the school costs for I-B-A-20+ students is CHF 1’160.00 per trimester (4 months).
The maximum costs for the entire year of the program are therefore CHF 3’480.00. The amount will be invoiced during the first month of the current term.
Starting in the I-B-A-20+ is also possible during the offer year, with the start date being the 1st of the following month.
