Working conditions
The Working Conditions Department (cantonal labor inspectorate) conducts inspections to ensure compliance with occupational safety and health regulations in industrial, commercial and service companies. The Department also advises companies on matters related to working hours and breaks, maternity leave and the protection of young workers.
Topics
Preventing occupational illnesses, occupational accidents and health hazards is a shared objective of employees and employers. The Labor Act establishes rights and obligations for both these sides.
