About us
The arbitration board is composed of the executive committee (one president, two vice presidents) and ten members. The members include equal numbers of representatives from the landlord and tenant associations. The election is carried out by the Department of Economic Affairs. At every arbitration attempt, three members ensure that the proceedings are handled independently.
The jurisdiction extends to all residential and commercial premises in the canton of Zug, and the procedure is based on the Swiss Code of Civil Procedure.
At the request of landlords, we also review and approve forms used to announce the initial rent, termination and changes to the tenancy agreement. Our legal mandate requires us to offer free advice to both landlords and tenants.
