The Consumer Protection Office, as a service center, is responsible for protecting consumer health and preventing deception. It is composed of the Food Inspection Department, a consumer protection laboratory, veterinary services, and calibration and measures department.

About us
The Consumer Protection Office is comprised of four departments:
- Food Control: Inspection, Enforcement, Chemical Safety and Radon Control Unit/Indoor Pollutants
- Laboratory of the Consumer Protection Office: Bioanalytics and Chemical Analysis
- Veterinary Services Department: Animal health, animal foodstuffs/veterinary drugs, animal welfare, dangerous dogs and commissions (animal testing and livestock appraisal)
- Calibration
As a service center, we work together to safeguard the health of Zug’s residents and protect them from deception in the market.
