Office of Corrections

The Enforcement and Probation Service carries out sentences given by the courts, including prison terms, electronic monitoring, community service, semi-custodial sentences, outpatient and inpatient interventions, probation assistance, directives or alternative measures.

The Penitentiary Zug monitors and supports detainees in various types of detention, such as provisional detention, short prison terms or pre-trial detention and preventive custody. Additionally, the Penitentiary Zug produces firewood in its internal timber enterprise.
