About us

The Child and Adult Protection Authority (KESB) protects individuals who cannot seek assistance on their own. The KESB mandates appropriate measures through expert case-by-case assessment, and regularly reviews the implementation and effectiveness of these measures. The goal is to support those in need individually with tailored solutions. Protecting and promoting the right to self-determination are the key objectives.

The KESB is an interdisciplinary expert body comprising a President, a Vice-President, and four members from the fields of law and social work. This guarantees a high standard of professionalism, while ensuring that different perspectives and thought processes are always included in decision-making.
